The quality of drinking water is one of the last factors people consider before buying a new home. There are many communities and sub-divisions in Wake County that have problems with their drinking water. If you are considering moving to Wake Forest and the Raleigh Triangle area, you might want to check on the quality of your water supply beforehand. Every year, drinking water suppliers are required by the EPA to send water quality test reports called “consumer confidence reports” to their consumers by July. The EPA regulates tap water, and the FDA regulates bottled water. The EPA tracks violations and implements monitoring programs in order to reduce such things as cancer rate. The quality of water should be particularly important to families with young children and people with reduced immune systems
